- All of us are lame hypocritical bastards, because we keep saying GayFAQs sucks, but every time we need help on a game or want a quick game board we go there and benefit from its services ^_^ .

Gamespot is lame.

This is not news, but their 2003 game awards suck big and hairy. It's not the standard suckage of any games website's yearly awards, it's a new suckage far beyond my expectations.

I was expecting DoAXVB to be named the game of the year because it's a game so deep and gameplay-rich; some sickenly kiddie game getting praised because everyone does it; or even yet another dull PS2 action game with a Rambo/007 wannabe as protagonist being embarrassingly overhyped; but they did something far worse that that, they really outdid themselves this time: they had one of these "dubious honors" awards given to Xenosaga, because of the things that made it so great - depth and plot. And I can't really most of the other awards are more fair or wiser.

I can only wonder what kind of moronic n00bs did Gamespot have to do that article; the kind of n00bs that think they are anime experts because they have watched all of DBZ; the kind of n00bs that think the Dreamcast was abandoned because it lacked power vs. the PS2; the kind of n00bs that think they are hackers (h4x0rz) because they know how to use ping; the kind of n00bs that think they own the Net because they know what OMG, WTF and LOL mean.

I seriously recommend these members of the gamespot staff to stop making an ass out of themselves, and to move to a DBZ fan site. (If they know how to read and write English, they may start a Final Fantasy fan site too.) And if this doesn't turn out well, they may try becoming a GameFAQs moderator, I'm sure CJayC will happily admit them because they are suited for the job.

Yeah, dances are usually rather lame. What's so bad about having pictures taken though? I don't mind ppl taking pics of me anywhere except if I'm caught doing something evil/silly/etc. ^_^

Uber lame stuff:

- CD-ROM drives 16X and faster (they are slower, less stable, and less reliable, made to have more "X" for lame morons who want ?more "X"? because they think it's like having a "X" inch wang)

- CD-ROM/CD-RW firmwares (did you know some CD-ROM drivers read poorly because of poorly programmed firmwares that, once updated, work twice as fast? Some Memorex models, for example.)

- CD-ROM/CD-RW drivers (it's so lame that your OS hangs when there's an IO error being handled, a sector is retried a zillion times while your OS is hanged because of pending IO... that's so lame, with today's CD drives, they should've built higher level drivers that treat CD-ROM drives like completely external, fail prone devices, more similar to solid disks (USB disks, digital cameras, etc.) drivers)

- Morons who want more "X"

- Morons who produce a gazillon "X" drives that read like crap, take forever and two days to load and eject discs, take forever and three days to spin up and down to such high RPMs (so they can pretend to work at such ridiculously high speed), suffer 10 read errors per 3 sectors they read because of this, and waste 50% of reading time spinning up and spinning down because of this.

LG CRD-8520 drives are a good example of this. (I got rid of it BTW, just ranting.)
